The Process

My goal is to be as transparent as possible. To do this, I will lay out the next steps and help you have a greater understanding on what is going to happen as we make our way to your session and beyond! Some of the process is boring but in the end it is all worth it!

Step 1:  Contact

Hello! You found me, you’ve looked at my work and you believe I will be a great fit for whatever your vision is. The first step is that we make contact. During this time, we will discuss and determine what type of session you want to have, how long you want coverage, the location of the session, and how many people will be in your session. All this information will be used to calculate the price of your session.

Step 2: documents and retainer 

Next step is sending and signing all the documents! In most cases I will only be sending over a contract. The contract’s purpose is to protect both you and me. It will discuss details of the shoot such as location, price, and the amount of coverage time. It will also go over when photos will be delivered. Another document that may be delivered will be the questionnaire. It is important that if a questionnaire is delivered to you that you fill it out with as much detail as you can. The questionnaire helps me get a feel for who you as well as those who are participating in the session and prep for the session.

At the time of the contract signing a non-refundable retainer fee will also be collected. This fee will lock in and finalize your session ensuring that that slot is yours and no one else’s. This fee is non-refundable and goes towards the final session cost.

Step 3: the session

It’s the most amazingest day ever! Why?? Because it is your session or wedding day! There isn’t much I can say about this except that I am super excited to capture you! At this point we have spent time discussing the specifics of your session and I am prepped and ready to go! This is a special time; I will be immortalizing moments for you to cherish forever.

Step 4: the delivery

After the session comes the most agonizing time EVERRRR — the WAIT! As someone who is SUPER impatient, I totally understand how much waiting absolutely sucks but I also want to take a moment to discuss why it is important. You can generally expect to receive your photos via a digital gallery about 4-6 weeks after your session. In busy seasons or for longer weddings I may take up to 10 weeks. Although I always try to finish earlier than my delivery date sometimes life happens, and I need the full time to complete. 

This is primarily because I am also not a preset editor, I devote the necessary care and attention to every photo to make sure that it is edited to look the best that it can while also reflecting my style. I put my all into editing your images because I truly understand how precious these moments and memories are. 

I also understand how much it absolutely sucks to wait, so I do upload a preview set within a week of your session. If you absolutely can’t wait, I also offer rush editing for an additional fee.
