Boudoir Photography

Boudoir is more than producing “scandalous” images - it is about empowerment. Getting images done where you look good in your own skin and feel good too. As such, I don’t offer body modification or edit out stretch marks and wrinkles in my boudoir images. These sessions are about loving ourselves or learning to. I offer various different boudoir sessions depending on what location your session will take place at. Hair and Makeup are not included at this time.

The Experience

Boudoir is a special experience! Boudoir is one of the most misunderstood forms of photography. Despite what many may think, these sessions are designed to be empowering - not sexualizing. There is a reason historical statues are nude and art classes use nude models for their students - our bodies are art. Our bodies are beautiful, unique, and deserve to be celebrated.

For many that I work with, the sessions they do with me are the first time they have ever done boudoir. So from the moment you inquire about a boudoir session, I am with you every step of the way! I offer boudoir as a separate session as well as a gifted add-on to some of my wedding packages!

What should I wear?

Traditionally boudoir sessions involve lingerie but they don’t always have to! Boudoir can be done in an oversized shirt (perhaps your SO’s shirt), a robe, shorts, bralette - or whatever you feel most confident and comfortable in! For those who want to wear lingerie, I always recommend you to wear a color and style that you feel good in! And if you aren’t quite sure, or want a second opinion, I am here as a friend and consultant!

Can I bring my significant other or a friend?

I want you to feel as comfortable, confident, and safe as possible during these sessions. If bringing someone along will help you feel that way then I have no issue with you bringing them along! However, if during the session I feel as though the individual you bring is either oversexualizing the session or is not brining the right energy, I will ask that they leave or that we end the session early.

Will you edit my body?

The short answer: No.

Boudoir is about celebrating our bodies. That means embracing all of it - the stretch marks, the fluff, the way our boobs actually look - all of it. Now, I do focus on poses that are flattering to the human form and if you address insecurities with me before a session, I will also focus on poses that do not emphasize those insecurities.

Also, although I will not edit bodies or permanent parts of the body, I will edit out temporary blemishes upon request such as bruises or pimples.

FAQ

Boudoir Location Options

I offer several different location options for boudoir depending on what you are looking for and what your comfort level is. Location options include:

Hotel or Studio

The most common place to do boudoir is at a studio location or even at a hotel. There are many different studios all over the Phoenix valley each with different aesthetics. Hotels also can provide great setups for boudoir.

Outdoor

The world is full of beautiful areas many that are secluded enough to do boudoir. These sessions may occur during odd hours to reduce the chance of people being around or may include traveling some distance to get to certain locations.
